When I think of mining sand, I think about a quarry where heavy machinery digs and dumps huge quantities of sand into dump trucks, not unlike the photo below (click here for reference). Aggregates (sand and gravel, for example) have become important resources in our lives and are used in construction of roads, asphalt and concrete.
