Question and maybe a 'stupid' one but it is stated that " 99% of all liquid freshwater in the world is groundwater." I question how much of earth's water is 'fresh' when there is so much pollution.. Is the groundwater not mostly fresh or as I interpret fresh, clean?
This is a good question, Helen. The numbers I posted don't mention anything about groundwater pollution, but certainly there are countless potential sources of groundwater contamination. In addition, a lot of deeper groundwater is undrinkable because of natural contamination.
